Born in Oslo, Norway, Hanneli was first scouted in the street by a photographer for the iconic Norwegian fashion & culture magazine ‘Fjords’, whilst still at school. It was a move to Paris that furthered her modelling career and, after 2 years in Paris, motivated her decision to move to New York in 2004.
During her modelling career, Hanneli began to take an interest in styling and made a decision in 2008, to take a step back from her current profession in order to pursue a career as a stylist. Over the next year she found herself booking regular styling-jobs for various artists at Sony Music.
It was at this same time that Hanneli began documenting various looks with her own camera, gradually developing her own unique sense of street style photography. As a stylist she was asked to contribute for a Norwegian fashion magazine blog where she soon realised the impact her posts had, not only in Norway, but on an international readership level.
In 2009, Hanneli decided to set up her own blog - hanneli.com - where she continues to post a mixture of photographs and self-portraits documenting her own beautiful take on street-style. In 2010 Hanneli received a call from Vogue asking her to come on board as a Contributing Photographer to both their editorial and online magazine, for whom she still collaborates with today. Most recently, she took on the role as host for Vogue TV’s new series, ‘Beauty Mark’.
Hanneli was a guest host for the Calvin Klein Twitter during A/W’12 Fashion Week which led to her current position as Curator for the first official Calvin Klein Tumblr Blog. Recent work has included her starring role in the Louis Vuitton Iconic Mini Bag campaign, as well as Diesel’s Black Gold S/S’13 campaign wherein Hanneli was responsible for styling, art direction and modelling. It is Hanneli’s chic-but-modern aesthetic that has seen her become one of the fashion industry’s most coveted creative consultants.
