Trevor Jackson has been working at the forefront of audio and visual culture for over 20 years. The London based Art Director, Designer, Moving-Image maker and Producer’s work has been exhibited at the ICA, BALTIC, GUGGENHEIM and BARBICAN, as well as on countless, seminal record covers.
A sound and light installation for the launch of the BMW 1-series car saw Jackson combine his audio and visual interests to much acclaim, leading to his debut A/V live performance for the 2005 ONEDOTZERO festival in Tokyo. In 2010, Jackson was brought onboard to create a graphic concept for Stone Island, which resulted in an artist collaboration for the collection, Project 5215.
In 2011 Jackson produced a sound & light performance for the launch of the LEXUS CT200h on Hollywood Blvd in LA. The installation was broadcasted on the primetime US TV show, Jimmy Kimmel. Later that year, his first solo show “Nowhere” was exhibited at the KK gallery in London.
2012 brings the release of a new compilation titled “Metal Dance” (Strut), as well as creating the show music for the Agent Provocateur Lingerie Show 2012. Trevor collaborated with Stussy on a collection of T-shirts for their Artist Series and was commissioned to design the DJ Shadow Special Edition Deluxe box set, released November 2012. Most recent projects include, Art Directing for Sony signed band, Beady Eye; a remit which included album and single covers, logo and all visual aspects of launch, including PR images and merchandise. Trevor was also brought onboard by the record label Defected to completely re-brand the label and provided an entire 12 month launch campaign with various live events and campaigns.
